Week 1: Hayao Miyazaki
Hey world! This week I decided to cover who is possibly my favorite artist of all time: Hayao Miyazaki. Now for those of you who don't know the name or watch anime, you may have heard of the company he works for, Studio Ghibli. If not, let me explain a bit about this brilliant artist.

Hayao Miyazaki is the art and the brains of Studio Ghibli who made the movies Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, The Secret World of Arrietty and Princess Mononoke. Well there are more movies than that but for those who are not avid Ghibli fans that would be too boring to take.

Now I have grown up with these movies and have always lived with a Japanese influence (even though I'm not even remotely Japanese) so the artwork is something that I have always appreciated and loved along with the stories with the beautiful art. Hm. Now Miyazaki's debut film would be Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986) which featured some really impressive artwork of a civilization that floats in the sky. Well I suppose that is all on Miyazaki for now. Thanks for reading!
Ja ne!
